Peter Murtagh runs an independent multi-disciplined practice continuing a long unbroken family involvement in local business from 1940. Participation with the Real and Personal Property Profession in the district dates from 1955.

Principal, Peter Murtagh B Comm FIPAV MSCSI  MRICS, is in  practice locally since 1977 . Peter is a past president of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers. During his term of office, 2005/2006 he led the Institute in forging international relations with counterparts in UK, Europe and USA. He holds membership of the NAA, the National Auctioneers Association in USA for many years. He has served as a council member with the Society of Chartered Surveyors. He is an active member of the North Eastern Division and of the National Valuation Committee of the Society of Chartered Surveyors.

This practice is a founding member of NPCp National Property Consultants Partnership a distinctive group of Chartered Valuation Surveyors and Property Consultants spread throughout the country. The other members are Parmer Mc Cormack Dublin, Jordan Auctioneers Newbridge, Moynihan Curran Clonmel, Power & Associates Limerick + Galway and Carberry Chartered Surveyors Athlone.
